After I complete my hardwood floor contractor services, some of my customers kindly submit their ratings and reviews to these search sites along with their names and locations, (or remain anonymous.) From these sites, I simply copy then paste their reviews to my website. I only list reviews from third party sites, this way they can be validated as true. What can I say, Where do I start? Earl is the best. We had hired another flooring company to recoat our hardwood floors. After three attempts to get our recoat done right, we gave up and looked for another company to fix our hardwood floor finish. Here comes Earl, cape and all (just kidding), to the rescue! Due to the number of coats & errors the other company made, we were looking at a possible refinish (sanding down to the bare wood). Earl gave us hope and did he deliver. Earl was able to buff out the mistakes without having to sand our hardwood floors. By the end of the 3rd day, my beautiful hardwood floors were back!!! If only all contractors had the impeccable work standards / quality Earl has, homeowners would be in heaven.

The floors were obviously installed and different times and the previous owner had tried to match them as closely as possible. However, the color did not exactly match and the grain pattern was slightly different. Also, there was a raised transition piece between the kitchen and living area. Our hope was that Earl would be able to darken the floor from a lighter maple color to a darker oak color. We were also hoping that Earl could do something to make them look more uniform and remove the transition piece. At our first meeting, Earl throughly examined our floors to make sure what we wanted was possible. He then explained everything he would need to do to achieve the look we were after. We received a clear written bid by email a few days later and quickly decided to go with Earl. Earl started the job when he said he would and kept on schedule despite encountering an unexpected issue that cost a day. Earl kept us informed throughout the process. The end result is amazing and exceeded our expectations. The floor looks brand new and the color is exactly what we were hoping for. The transition piece was removed and a seamless transition was added. Unless it is pointed out to you, you cannot tell that the floor is actually two different floors that were installed at different times. His quality of workmanship, knowledge of the trade, respect for your home, communications, and outright friendliness make working with him a pleasure. What a relief. We were able to live in our home during the process, and the expected dust and mess never happened. We had a fantastic experience with American Standard Flooring. We wanted to install solid oak flooring in two bedrooms to match the existing flooring but could find no one who would do it. First off, if your company name is American Standard Flooring, you need to be GREAT. Earl was just that. Great. He met with me, gave me honest options, he was neat, started and finished when he said he would, arrived on time, and was very trustworthy. He is very meticulous and takes great pride in all he does. His materials are top notch. I felt very comfortable leaving him alone in my home working while I was gone. Our floors were oak, but were very badly water damaged and worn. Earl gave us samples of the stain colors and gave us great suggestions. He filled all the ruts and holes, got rid of the grayed water damage and made the floors even and smooth. Unlike other local companies, Earl does the work himself without sending a crew we met outside Home Depot. I will refer him to anyone who asks. You would being doing yourself an injustice by not at least calling American Standard Flooring for any flooring projects you have. On a visit to my neighbor's house, I saw how amazing their floors were and asked them who did them. They told me and highly recommended American Standard Flooring. I gave them a call and Earl came to my house. He is the most honest, hardworking, and intelligent flooring specialist you will ever meet. I compared his quote to three other contractors, and it came in as the most competitive, plus I trusted him the most, so I went with him. It was the best decision. My house was built in 1928, and the hardwood floors are mostly original and were in really bad shape. I had two different types of flooring with two different colors of stain and a lot of different damaged areas where the flooring needed to be replaced. Earl repaired all the damaged flooring and matched both types of wood with a consistent stain color. The results far exceeded my expectations. The new floors make my home look so much more valuable and increases the appraisal amount at far more than I paid for the floors. Again, you need to at least call American Standard Flooring to get a quote and meet Earl. He takes pride in his work and it shows in the results.

Just had my floors done for my 1955 home in Costa Mesa. Earl did an awesome job restoring the white oak hardwoods. I had areas that looked grey and stripped of finish, as well as lots of nail holes from the carpeting that I removed when I moved in. Earl sanded, filled in the holes, and applied 3 coats of finish. He even took care of unfinished transitions from my hardwoods to my new kitchen floor. The floors look great, and I can't stop staring at my floors! Earl is meticulous and pays attention to detail. It's comforting having a contractor like Earl who takes pride and cares a lot about his work. I highly recommend him. Good job Earl!

My floors were in pretty bad shape, mostly from water damage. It is a tiled parquet and I did have some new leftover tiles to use for the repair. It was also a natural finish to start with so it did not hold up well to a lot of traffic. Earl repaired the bad spots using ceramic tile for under the fridge (per my request). He then came in with his "dustless" equipment and proceeded to do a beautiful job on my floors. He was very nice and considerate as well. I never had a problem getting a hold of him. The job wasn't tiny. It took about 2weeks to complete. I would recommend Earl to anyone. Thanks Earl.
